Karen Peltier Riggert is an accomplished, award winning freelance artist, working as a photographer, website designer, and published book artist.

Karen transitioned from a hobbyist  to  a staff photo journalist for Nashoba Valley Voice (The Lowell Sun/Media One) in 2008. 

 

As she grew in her passion, Karen  self-published "Groton, MA ~ A Special New England Community" and was later selected as the location photographer for "The New England Orchards Cookbook" published by Globe Pequot Press, Guilford, CT.  Most recently, Karen completed the  graphic layout and photographed the artistic renderings depicted in "Sense of Place."

 

 

Karen Peltier Riggert was awarded a Monochrome Photography Awards  Honorable Mention in Amateur Wildlife for her entry titled "Winged Span" in 2018.  Monochrome Photography Awards conducts an annual competition for Professional and Amateur photographers.  Their mission is to celebrate monochrome visions and discover the most amazing photographers from around the world.

Since 2010, Karen Peltier Riggert has been awarded sixteen Honorable Mention recognitions in a variety of categories, competing against an average of  14,000 annual submissions from over 100 countries across

the globe.  IPA is a sister-effort of the Lucie Foundation, whose mission is to honor master photographers, to discover new and emerging talent, and to promote the appreciation of photography.
